Nancy
L. Warton, MA
Nancy has over twenty years experience
working both as a counselor and as a manager. She has a BS degree
in Health Care Management from Metropolitan State College and a
MA degree in counseling from Denver Seminary.
With her extensive experience, Nancy
brings to our practice an enthusiasm for meeting the needs of our
clients and the community. As the Administrative Director of the
Jefferson County Youth Alcohol Intervention Program (YAIP), Nancy
is responsible for scheduling classes, maintaining records and acts
as the liaison between the courts, police departments and the counseling
center. Nancy also serves as Secretary-Treasure of the Board of
Directors of the Adolescent Counseling, Education and Therapy Program.
As a Case Manager, Nancy is able to
assess the needs of a client and coordinate resources to meet those
needs. Her experience in supporting and encouraging those who are
challenged by a persistent mental illness has been essential in
aiding clients in making positive and productive changes.
Nancy's experience also includes work
in crisis intervention, communication issues, and cognitive restructuring.
She has facilitated Critical Incident Stress Management Debriefings,
Depression Seminars, and Life Skills Workshops for the community.
A grandmother of nine, Nancy utilizes
her talent and skills singing in choirs and designing costume jewelry. |
